The Smokehead is a great Islay single malt. It convinces with a powerful peaty note and then delivers a wonderfully long finish. All in all simply an excellent single malt from Ian Macleod and actually a real insider tip!

Nose: Peaty, salty, spicy, citrus, lemon, ginger, plum.
Taste: cocoa, peat, honey, pepper.
Finish: Long lasting, peat smoke, spices, tangerines.
A tip for cocktail fans: Hot cider with sugar syrup and smokehead!
