Don Papa, one of the lesser known heroes of the Philippine Revolution. A foreman on a sugar cane plantation, he joined the fight for his country’s independence. He became the leader of his countrymen in driving the conquerors from his beloved land.
Don Papa Baroko hails from the island of Negros in the Philippine archipelago. This extraordinary spirit honours the heroes of the revolution. It is refined from high-quality sugar cane, which grows on extremely fertile volcanic soils and then matures in oak barrels. For the Baroko, only the best and most valuable barrels are selected from the warehouse to bring out the fruit and especially vanilla flavors in the best possible way in this limited edition. With a shot of local cane sugar, which is to further emphasize these flavors, this molasses rum then becomes a truly exceptional creation.
