The Gaelic word from which Dalwhinnie is descended is “Dail-coinneeamh” which means “meeting place”.
The Dalwhinnie belongs to the famous Classic Malts series. Due to its maturation in Oloroso sherry barrels it is an exceptional malt.

Nose: fresh, dry, notes of heather, peat.
Taste: Soft, light, smooth, notes of heather honey, vanilla, citrus fruits, hints of malt bread.
Finish: Long lasting, intense, sweet-smoky, peat, malt.
The pure heather notes of 15-year-old Dalwhinnie are best enjoyed pure or perhaps with a shot of still spring water.
