“This rich, juicy wine has an attractive proportion of Cabernet Franc in the blend. With dark tannins and spice balancing black-plum fruits, it is a fine example of this powerful vintage. Drink from 2024.” The Wine Enthusiast, 92 Points

A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Roc de Boisseaux has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and offers up scents of baked blackberries, raspberry tart and blackberry preserves with nuances of espresso, underbrush and bay leaves plus a waft of fungi. Medium to full-bodied, it gives plenty of savory, muscular fruit and a chewy texture with just enough freshness and an herbal lift on the finish.
James Suckling: 90 Points
Currant, citrus and floral aromas follow through to a medium body with light, round tannins and a fruity finish. Drink now.
Falstaff 93 points:
Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, faint watery edge. Fine nougat, ripe dark berry fruit in the background with ripe plum and candied orange zest. Taut, red berry fruit, tightly meshed, fine wood support, good freshness, salty minerality and long with delicate nougat caramel on the finish. Solid ageing potential.
