Château Phélan Ségur in this 2020 vintage is a powerful, tannic wine with beautiful density, a wine that will have to wait several years. This is a wine to keep in your cellar for many years but one that will charm those who love wines of Saint Estèphe young. To the eye, the color is purple with violet highlights. On the nose, ripe black fruits emerge, blackcurrant, cherry, followed by toasty and licorice notes. On the palate, the attack is straightforward, well-fruited, associated with a beautiful length and freshness and great aromatic power.
