An elegant and prestigious Grand Cru Classe de Graves
A prestigious Grand Cru Classé de Graves located south of Bordeaux, Château Pape Clément has achieved another beautiful vintage with the 2018.
Produced in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the Château Pape Clément 2018 is made from the vineyards of the estate, spread over 67 hectares, in the communes of Pessac and Gradignan.
To make the top wine of Château Pape Clément, the most beautiful fruit was selected through a series of rigorous trials, first in the vineyard, then with a manual sorting at the table. The juices were then added to oak vats with gravity. The pigeage of the wines was done entirely by hand. Once the maceration had been completed, the juices were poured directly into French oak casks and barrels by gravity.
Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (66%), complemented by Merlot (30%) and Cabernet Franc (4%), the Graves Grand Cru Classé Château Pape Clément was matured in barriques and in French oak barrels for 18 months. Product of a great vintage for the Bordeaux region, the Château Pape Clément 2018 shows the signature style of Bernard Magrez’s Graves wines.
